xNote: IMSAI was a consulting company and was involved in a project that need a computer for a specilized task. The Altair was perfect but they are in late and can not wait the 90 days requested by Mits for the delivery. So Bill Millard, the founder, started a new project to develop a own computer from scratch. The computer used the S-100 bus as the Altair and was advantaged by the Altair popularity. In 1979 the IMSAI became Fisher-Freitas Co.
